AIRP 3360 Human Factors of Flight Cr. 3 Semester Credit Hours: 3 Class Hours Per Week: 3 Additional Laboratory or Activity Hours Per Week: 0 Course Level: Undergraduate
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2301 This course explores the fundamental concepts of human factors issues in aviation. The first part of the course focuses on the physiological factors that affect single pilot aeronautical decision-making. The second part examines human error, threat and error management, and domains of crew resource management. This course aims at helping students understand and be able to identify the importance of human factors in aviation, the effects of physiological factors on pilot decision-making process, and approaches to examine human errors to improve flight safety.
