Note: Admission policies that were previously located on this page can now be found on the University Policies page.
General Admission/Application Information
U.S. citizens and Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) may submit the ApplyTexas Application to begin the admissions process. To access the application, visit the A&M -Victoria website, click on “Apply,” and follow the appropriate instructions.
A non-refundable, non-transferable application fee is required as follows:
- Undergraduate Applicants (Domestic and International): $25
- Graduate Applicants (Domestic): $35
- Graduate Applicants (International): $50
International applicants currently holding a visa that permits enrollment or who have pending permanent resident status may submit the ApplyTexas Application for International Students. To access this application, visit the A&M-Victoria homepage, click the “Apply” link, and select International Students from the menu on the left. This will direct you to the International Student Information page, where you’ll find detailed steps for the admission process, required forms, and additional resources.
Upon submitting the completed application, applicants will receive a confirmation email from ApplyTexas. A&M-Victoria’s Office of Admissions Processing typically receives applications within 1 to 2 business days. Once received, applicants will be assigned a student ID number via email. This ID can be used to log into student self-service to monitor the status of the application. Applicants may also be contacted via email for any additional documentation or information needed to complete the admissions process.
To allow sufficient time for processing and registration, it is recommended that applications be submitted as early as possible. A completed application-including all required supporting documents-forms the basis for determining admission eligibility. All application questions must be answered fully and accurately. Admission may be revoked if it is determined that false or incomplete information was submitted that would have affected eligibility.
Applicants who do not enroll for the semester or term indicated on their application must notify the Office of Admissions Processing. Failure to do so may result in the deactivation of the applicant’s record. If this occurs, the student will be required to reapply through ApplyTexas and submit a new application fee.
Distance Education Out-of-State Authority
The U.S. Department of Education (U.S. DoE) released new regulations regarding distance education in October 2010. One of the new regulations focuses on the need for institutions offering distance education to acquire authorization from any state where the institution has currently enrolled students. As the details regarding this regulation continue to be clarified, the A&M-Victoria is in the process of gaining authorization from other states.
Depending on the outcome of this authorization, A&M-Victoria could notify students residing in a particular state that they are not eligible to register for distance education courses. In cases where A&M-Victoria students are affected by this change, A&M-Victoria will provide assistance to students to resolve this matter.
NC-SARA
*NC-SARA membership allows A&M-Victoria to conduct limited activities in the indicated member states below. Please see the SARA Policies and Standards document for details of specific authorized activities. Please note that A&M-Victoria is not authorized to conduct internships leading to professional licensure without direct coordination with the licensure board in that state.

Complaint Resolution
As part of the process, A&M-Victoria is required to provide current and prospective students with contact information for filing complaints.
For complaints regarding grades, course requirements and course procedures follow the A&M-Victoria Undergraduate or Graduate grievance policies.
If an issue cannot be resolved internally, you may file a complaint with your state. The Student Grievance Contact Information for Individual States provides phone numbers, e-mail and/or links to state education agencies.
A&M-Victoria is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The SACS site provides complaint procedures against the commission or its accredited institutions.
For questions concerning the complaint process or the new U.S. DOE regulations affecting distance education, please contact uhvonline@tamuv.edu or (361) 570-4360.
The priority admissions application deadlines are listed below. Note: Students who apply after the deadline will still be reviewed for consideration but should be aware that certain academic programs have specific requirements which could preclude a student from enrolling.
