AIRP 1301 Basic Aircraft Science Cr. 3 Semester Credit Hours: 3 Class Hours Per Week: 3 Additional Laboratory or Activity Hours Per Week: 0 Prerequisite(s): TSI Complete in Math. This course introduces the fundamentals of flight theory, aircraft configurations, high-speed flight, and helicopter rotor dynamics. This course covers lift/drag and concepts for flight at an engineering technology level. Topics include lift/drag concepts, Federal regulatory systems for aircraft design, center of gravity theory, and weight and balance procedures. Federal regulatory systems for aircraft design and persons other than flight personnel and associated technical documents are covered.
