B.A.A.S. General Business Specialization

General Business Specialization Requirements: 

Students must complete 15 semester hours of upper-division business coursework selected from the following areas: Management (MGMT) and Marketing (MKTG). No more than 9 semester hours may be taken in a single area. A minimum of 9 semester hours must be completed in residence at UHV.

Students may not count more than 24 semester credit hours of business courses from any institution toward their degree. Students should contact BAAS coordinator for clarification.

Required Courses (15 semester credit hours)
Select five courses from the following:

• 3000- or 4000-level MGMT or MKTG
• 3000- or 4000-level MGMT or MKTG
• 3000- or 4000-level MGMT or MKTG
• 3000- or 4000-level MGMT or MKTG
• 3000- or 4000-level MGMT or MKTG

It is recommended that students take MGMT 3303 and MKTG 3303 to satisfy part of the specialization requirements, as they are prerequisites for many upper-level MGMT and MKTG courses.
