General Admission Requirements
Admission to Graduate Studies (see Graduate Admissions ).
Program Admission Requirements
In addition to meeting university admissions requirements for a graduate degree, admission to the M.S. Cybersecurity program is based on an evaluation by the program’s admission committee of the following information:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Applicants with lower GPAs may be considered based on professional experience and additional qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. Applicants with degrees in other fields may be required to complete leveling/prerequisite courses.
- Current Resume detailing professional and academic history.
- A one-page person statement/essay outlining career goals, interest in cybersecurity, and relevant experience.
- Letters of Recommendation (optional but encouraged) from academic or professional references.
- Evidence of having completed undergraduate or graduate coursework in the following areas:
- 3 s.h. of Calculus/Algebra/Discrete Structures/Discrete Mathematics
- 3 s.h. of Statistics
- 6 s.h. of programming or data structures
