Admissions/Other Requirements:
To be eligible for admission under the post-baccalaureate classification in the undergraduate career, a student must hold at least a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution and not be enrolled in a graduate program.
Non-degree-seeking students are those seeking admission for purposes other than the pursuit of a degree, such as personal enrichment, graduate certificates, or job enhancement. These students are not eligible for financial aid. If you later decide to pursue a degree, you must reapply for admission, pay the application fee, and submit all required documentation. Credit earned as a non-degree-seeking student will not automatically be applied to a specific academic degree program.
Applicants in non-degree status must submit official transcripts for both the highest degree earned and the last institution attended.
Post-baccalaureate students may not register for graduate courses unless officially admitted as a graduate student. Those planning to take graduate-level courses must apply for graduate admission through ApplyTexas and will be required to take leveling or prerequisite courses, if applicable.
If a student does not enroll for the term indicated on the original application, they must submit an Update to Admissions Application form for the next consecutive term. This form is available on the Texas A&M University-Victoria website under Admissions Forms.
What to Submit:
- A completed application for post-baccalaureate admission. Visit the A&M-Victoria website and click on “Apply.” A $25.00 non-refundable application fee is required.
- An official transcript showing completion of the student’s most recent degree, sent directly to UH-Victoria by the institution that conferred the degree. If the student is a A&M-Victoria graduate, no transcript is required; however, the student must inform the Office of Admissions so that their checklist can be updated accordingly.
A post-baccalaureate student seeking another undergraduate degree or teacher certification must submit transcripts from all previously attended institutions.
