The main goal of this course is to develop the framework that will help students to understand the structure of financial markets, money, interest rate determinants, banking system, Federal Reserve System and role of monetary policy. This is an undergraduate course and is an introduction to the behavioral science of economics which focuses on the logic, intuition and operation of a financial system, concept of money, financial markets, and financial institutions and intermediaries (like central banks, investment banks).
