Graduate Certification
Admission to a Graduate Certification Program
For applicants, with GPA’s below 3.0, seeking certifications in a class other than classroom teacher the following scores must be achieved:
GRE® scores in the following ranges:
- GRE® Verbal Reasoning - 143 or greater
- GRE® Quantitative Reasoning - 140 or greater
- GRE® Analytical Writing - 3.0 or greater
The applicant MUST also meet the UHV admissions index.
Degree Requirements
This certificate is related to the practice of professional coaching (e.g., executive coaching, leadership coaching, etc.); it is not a course of study related to athletic coaching.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Admission to the UHV as either “temporary graduate status” or fully admitted.
- Complete the 9 semester credit hours of course work.

Students pursuing the M.Ed. in Adult and Higher Education should not expect that the Professional Coaching courses will substitute for M.Ed. degree plan requirements.
