Prerequisite(s): ECON 2301 , ECON 2302 , and BUSI 3304 .
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with traditional topics in labor and population economics and to encourage the development of independent research interests. The course is to help students understand the fundamental forces underlying the complex operations of modern labor markets as well as economic determinants and consequences of changes in population structure and dynamics. Students will become familiar with the theories and methods used by labor and population economists and will have the opportunity to apply those methods to topics of interest and current events.
