Prerequisite(s): Previous/concurrent enrollment in BIO 4310 or BIO 4313; Graduate standing.
Investigation of the interrelationships of energy utilizing and producing metabolic pathways. Consideration will be given to glycolysis, Kreb’s cycle, oxidative pathways of fatty acids and amino acids, and the pathways of lipid and sterol formation, in addition to various aspects of gluconeogenesis and the pentosephosphate shunt.
