				The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology prepares students to become professionals in various specializations, such as teaching physical education in a public school system (with an EC-12 all level Texas teaching certification), exercise sports science, pre-allied health or sport management. The 121- to 124-hour B.S. in Kinesiology is designed to be completed in four years. Students can select one of the following concentrations: 
	- Exercise and Sport Science
 
	- Pre-Allied Health
 
	- Sport Management 
 
	- Physical Education EC-12

		Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Exercise and Sport Science
 The following requirements apply to all candidates for the BS in Kinesiology -Exercise and Sport Science
 Satisfy Core Curriculum Requirements. (43 hours minimum). See “Bachelor’s Degree Requirements .” Major Requirements - 24 hours
 Concentration Requirements - 42 hours
 Mandatory Internship - 12 Hours
 Total: 121 s.h.^
 ^ Minimum semester credit hours to complete degree  All kinesiology majors will need to earn a C or better for all kinesiology courses. Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Pre-Allied Health
 The following requirements apply to all candidates for the BS in Kinesiology -Pre- Allied Health
 Satisfy Core Curriculum Requirements. (43 hours minimum). See “Bachelor’s Degree Requirements .” Major Requirements - Kinesiology Courses - 24 Hours
 Students will be required to have an overall GPA of a 2.5 in all KINE courses. Concentration Requirements - 18 Hours
 Mandatory Internship - 12 hours
 Special Foundation - 24 hours
  - Courses by Advisement depending on specific admission requirements of the graduate schools that students plan to apply for.  
  - Common requirements:  Biology with Lab (BIOL 1106 , 1306 ), Chemistry with Lab (CHEM 1111 /1311 , 1112 /1312 ), Physics with/without Lab (PHYS 1101 /1301 , 1102 /1302 ), Medical Terminology (HLST 3311 ), Statistics (MATH 2343 ), Psychology (PSYC 2301 ), Organic Chemistry (CHEM 2323 , 2325 ), Anatomy & Physiology with Lab (BIOL 2301 /2101 , 2302 /2101 ) and/or Pharmacology.
    Faculty Advisor approval MUST be obtained PRIOR TO registration of elective courses. Total: 121 s.h.^

 Concentration Requirements - 24 Hours
 Mandatory Internship - 12 Hours
 Special Foundation - 18 Hours
 Choose one (1) from the following options:   Faculty Advisor approval MUST be obtained PRIOR TO registration of elective courses. Total: 121 s.h.^
 ^ Minimum semester credit hours to complete degree  All kinesiology majors will need to earn a C or better for all kinesiology courses. Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology - Physical Education EC-12
 The following requirements apply to all candidates for the BS in Kinesiology - Physical Education EC-12
 Satisfy Core Curriculum Requirements. (43 hours minimum). See “Bachelor’s Degree Requirements .” Major Requirements - 24 hours
 Concentration Requirements - 15 Hours
 Special Foundation I - 15 Hours
 Choose one (1) from the following options:   - Plan A: 15 hours of Kinesiology courses: KINE 3313 , KINE 3314 , KINE 3321 , KINE 3326 , & KINE 4310 .
  - Plan B: 15 hours of specialty field courses: Choose specialty field from Life Sciences, Mathematics, History, English, etc.
    Students must take all 15 credit hours from only one specialty field.  Faculty Advisor approval MUST be obtained PRIOR TO registration of specialty field courses. Special Foundation II - 27 Hours
 Total: 124 s.h.^
