SPAN 3313 Oral and Written Communication I Cr. 3 Semester Credit Hours: 3 Course Level: Upper Division
Prerequisite(s): SPAN 2302 or instructor approval; Sophomore standing or higher. Contextualized oral and written language development pertinent to a broad range of life situations. Response to both aural and written stimuli. Emphasis on interpersonal interaction skills, to include description, narration in past, present and future situations, comparison and contrast, giving instructions, stating opinions and recommendations and other Advanced proficiency skills. Focus on cross-cultural awareness and appropriateness and broad range of culture from history, geography, politics, religion, family, and traditions. Study abroad option.
